Diana Ankudinova is often compared with Dimash Kudaibergen, the reigning king of Olympian vocals. (I have previously posted one of his performances.) They are both otherworldly talents, capable of mind-blowing vocal gymnastics, but the similarity stops there. Dimash is more polished technically (he’s also nearly a decade older). However, Diana channels something far more strange and elemental.
